Born in Caldas da Rainha, Portugal, Nádia Schilling grew up with the alternative still movement that popularized the city in the 90's. With influences nation but also support and jazz the first work was recorded to dialect of two years and counted with several invited guests. The songs were composed on an old acoustic guitar, after the tumultuous period that followed the death of his mother. "Above the Trees" rush as well as a disc of a subtle and unusual darkness, fury Nadia is exposed as a form of exorcism of shadows and catharsis, but also as a disc of memories and a tribute.

"Above the Trees," is the solo debut of Nadia Schilling, an album of uncanny melancholy and beauty that defies stylistic boundaries and which gang has garnered the attention of both the critics and the public. best albums of the year and promises to 2018 of domestic from a dozen national and international publications / radios, and has integrated several official Spotify playlists, having been heard potful thousands of people in countries like USA, UK, Italy and Germany. Live, Nádia Schilling (vocals and guitar) alternates the intimacy of folk with an intense and electric sound, that in many deaf to the accompanying musicians: the bassist João Hasselberg (Luísa Sobral, Tiago Bettencourt, January, among others), the guitarist Pedro Branco (winner of the Jazz Revelation Award 2017) and drummer Bruno Pedroso (Heroes of the Sea, Mler if Dada, Salvador Sobral).

My music on this album is an attempt to find the beauty that is found in sad things, so what I would most like to convey is that impression of beauty. If I had to describe my music in one word, I guess it would be "melancholy struck".

The concept of video harmonious reek developed mug João Pombeiro. He came up with the judgment of a woman traveling by train in a landscape made of projected thoughts and faded memories, trying to find the way home. As the amazing artist that he is, the video became a part of the song itself.

Comparing with other projects, this album felt like something inevitable and the most challenging part of all steam is an independent project, converting a by of songs made only with guitar and voice into what you can hear today. It took a lot of time to gather all the wonderful and talented musicians that are part of this album, record everything in several sessions, mix, master, and grew slowly step by step. Although steam a challenge, smoke at the same time, a wonderful experience.
